A Diwali gift box of dry fruits works for almost everyone on the list, because kaju, badam, pista and akhrot keep for weeks and nobody has too many of them. Choose loose packs from the shelf above and put them together yourself, or message us on WhatsApp and we will put a custom box or hamper together for you.

This page is about who to give what. If you want to build a box yourself to a set budget, our Diwali dry fruit gift box guide goes through that step by step.

Who to give what

The same box does not suit everybody. This is roughly how we would split it.

  • Family and elders. The classic four: kaju, badam, kishmish and akhrot. Large whole grades such as Jumbo Cashew look generous when the lid comes off, and that matters in a house where the box will be opened in front of guests.
  • Parents. Something they will use every morning rather than keep for guests. Mamra Badam for soaking, walnuts, and anjeer (dried figs) are the ones parents tend to finish.
  • Husband or wife. Something a little less expected: Medjool Dates, roasted pista, berries, or a favourite snack in a bigger pack than they would buy for themselves.
  • Friends. Flavoured nuts go down well at card parties and late evenings. Kaju Peri Peri, black pepper kaju and roasted almonds are easy to share.
  • Neighbours and the people who help at home. A smaller pack, but a good one. A mix such as Trial Mix with 12 Nuts & Dry Fruits gives variety without having to buy six separate packs.

Diwali gift packs: loose packs or a custom box

There are two ways to do this with us.

The first is to buy loose packs from the dry fruits shelf and the nuts shelf, and pack them into your own boxes or baskets at home. Many families prefer this, because they already have a way of doing it and a set of boxes they like.

The second is a custom box or hamper. Message us on WhatsApp with who it is for, how many you need, what you would like in it and when it has to reach you, and we will suggest a mix. If you want something particular on the box or in the packing, ask us about it and we will tell you what we can do.

For offices and clients, our corporate gifting page explains how company orders work.

What keeps well until the day

Diwali boxes are often bought a week or two ahead and opened a week or two after. Some dry fruits handle that better than others.

  • Keep well: raw kaju, badam, pista kernels, walnut kernels, kishmish, chuara, makhana. Kept closed and away from heat, these are fine through the festival.
  • Keep, but watch: anjeer and soft dates. They stay good, but they can turn sticky in a warm room, so pack them separately from the nuts.
  • Buy closest to the day: roasted and flavoured nuts. Oil and spice on the surface lose their crunch sooner, so these are best eaten within a few weeks.

Whatever you send, a closed box in a cool cupboard does more to keep it fresh than anything else.

Order early

The weeks before Diwali are the busiest at our counter, and couriers across the country are busy too. Delivery normally takes a few days, but it is sensible to order well before the day, especially for a custom box, which also needs time to be put together.

Orders start at ₹1,500, every order ships free, and payment is online. If you are sending to several addresses, tell us on WhatsApp and we will work out how to split it.

Questions people ask

What is a good Diwali dry fruit box for friends?

Something to share: a flavoured kaju, roasted almonds and a trail mix work better at a gathering than a formal box of raw nuts.

What is a good Diwali gift for a husband?

Pick something he likes but would not buy for himself, such as Medjool dates, roasted pista or a large pack of his favourite nut. For a custom box, message us on WhatsApp.

Do you make Diwali dry fruit hampers?

Yes. Custom boxes and hampers are arranged on WhatsApp. Tell us the number, the contents and the date, and we will suggest a mix.

How early should I order Diwali gifts?

Earlier is better, because the weeks before Diwali are busy for us and for couriers. Custom boxes need extra time, so message us as soon as you know your numbers.

Which dry fruits should I avoid for a gift that will sit for a while?

Roasted and flavoured nuts are best eaten fresh, and soft dates can get sticky in a warm room. Raw nuts and kishmish keep the longest.
