Quick answer
Buying dry fruits online is mostly about trust: you cannot pinch the anjeer or snap a cashew before paying. So here is exactly how an order from us reaches Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata or Ahmedabad, how long it takes, how it is packed, and what is worth ordering first.
How long does delivery take?
Two stages. We dispatch within three working days of the order being placed and paid. After that, most cities receive it two to six days later, depending on the courier route and how far the city sits from us. The big metros tend to land at the quicker end; a far suburb or a new pincode can take a day or two more.
We do not offer same-day or next-day delivery, and we would rather say so plainly than have you plan a puja around a promise. For anything with a date attached, such as Diwali on Sunday 8 November, order about two weeks before you need it.
What should each city keep in mind?
| City | Weather to plan for | Storage tip once it arrives |
|---|---|---|
| Mumbai | Humid most of the year | Decant into glass the same day; kishmish and anjeer in the fridge |
| Delhi NCR, incl. Gurgaon and Noida | Dry winter, very hot summer | Fine in a cupboard now; nuts to the fridge from April |
| Bangalore | Mild but damp in the rains | Keep roasted and salted kaju sealed between servings |
| Hyderabad | Hot and dry for long stretches | Akhrot and pista in the fridge in summer |
| Chennai | Hot and humid | Small jars, opened one at a time |
| Pune | Moderate, damp in the monsoon | Airtight jars; check khajur for sticky softening |
| Kolkata | Humid, long monsoon | Fridge for kaju and kishmish from June to September |
| Ahmedabad | Very hot, dry | Nuts away from the kitchen wall and the stove |
Each city also has its own page with local notes: Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bangalore and Ahmedabad, with the others linked from the shop.
How is the order packed?
Every item is weighed and sealed on the day it is packed, not scooped from a sack that was opened weeks ago. Each kind arrives in its own sealed pack, so kaju does not pick up the smell of elaichi and kishmish does not stick to the badam.
When it arrives, open each pack, smell it, and decant what you will use in the next few weeks into glass jars. Keep the rest sealed. That one habit does more for freshness than anything a shop can do.
Why does the site ask for your pincode?
Because the price shown depends on where the order is going. Set your pincode once and every rate on the site, from kaju to makhana, shows what it costs delivered to your city. It is worth doing before you build a basket, so the figures you compare are the ones you will pay. If you move between a home and an office pincode, set the one you are ordering for.
What should you order first?
If this is your first order from us, start with the things you use every week, so you can judge us on familiar ground:
- Regular Cashew, the everyday whole kaju for the jar and the kitchen. Pack prices today are at today's shop rate; every grade, from pieces to the large whole ones, is on the kaju shelf at at today's shop rate.
- Regular Badam for the morning soak, at at today's shop rate.
- Kishmish, for kheer and the evening handful, at at today's shop rate today.
- One thing you have never bought online before, such as Jumbo Anjeer or Medjool dates, to see how a softer fruit travels.
Our orders start at ₹1,000 and every order ships free, so those four together make a sensible first basket rather than a test order. The full shelf is on the shop page.
Is buying dry fruits online better than the local market?
It depends on what you value. A good local shop lets you taste before buying; a crowded old market may give you a sharper rate on some days. Online gives you a named grade, a sealed pack, a price you can compare at leisure, and no afternoon spent in traffic. The fair test is the same either way: compare one grade with the same grade, and judge freshness by colour, snap and smell.
Questions people ask
Will nuts still be fresh after several days with the courier?
Yes. Sealed on the day they are packed, nuts and dried fruit hold well for a week in transit. Open, check and decant them into jars when they arrive.
Can I order for a family member in another city?
Yes. Set the pincode of the delivery address, and the rates and delivery timing will be for that city.
Can I pay cash when the parcel arrives?
No. Payment is online at the time of ordering, and there is no cash on delivery option.
Is the online price higher than a shop’s?
Compare grade for grade, and remember delivery is included. Many people find the difference smaller than expected once the grades match.
