Why dry fruits are the default in NCR offices
Come October, the office floors of Gurugram, Noida and central Delhi start filling with gift bags. Dry fruits have become the standard gift across Delhi NCR for good reasons. Everyone eats them, they suit every diet the office has, they keep for weeks, and they do not melt in a car on the way home the way chocolate can.
For a team lead or an HR desk, they also scale. The same pack can go to twenty people or two thousand, and nobody feels they got the lesser gift.
A pack under ₹500
At today’s rates, the simplest pack under ₹500 is:
- 250 g Regular Badam, around ₹250–₹280
- 250 g Regular Dakh (kishmish), around ₹150–₹170
That comes to roughly ₹400–₹450 before the box. Swap the kishmish for 250 g of cashew if your team would rather have kaju; at the lower end of the cashew range the pair still stays close to ₹500, so check the price on the day.
A pack under ₹1,000
With twice the budget, you can give three full packs and still leave room for the box:
- 250 g Regular Cashew, around ₹235–₹370 depending on grade
- 250 g Regular Badam, around ₹250–₹280
- 250 g Regular Dakh, around ₹150–₹170
That lands at roughly ₹635–₹820. Where there is room left, add a 100 g pack of Jaipuri Mukhwas, which people use after the festival meals, or switch the kishmish to 250 g of Makhana at around ₹320 if your office leans towards lighter snacks.

Choosing grades for a gift

Keep the mix plain. Masala and peri peri cashews are popular, but they have a shorter life than raw nuts, and an office gift often sits in a drawer for a week before it goes home.
Ordering for the whole office
- Count people, then add a margin. New joiners and forgotten contractors always turn up. Five per cent extra is a sensible cushion.
- Order the same packs for everyone. It makes assembly quick, and nobody compares.
- Plan the assembly. Buy boxes, bags or ribbon locally in Delhi, and set aside an afternoon with a few volunteers to fill them.

When to order
Diwali falls in October or November, and courier networks get busier in the weeks before it. Delivery to Delhi NCR usually takes 3–5 days, but for an office order, place it two to three weeks ahead of your distribution day. That gives time for the packs to arrive, for someone to count them, and for the boxes to be filled without a last-evening rush.
